Connect your assistant in about two minutes.
Everyone uses the same address and signs in with their own Ototo account, so each user sees only the companies and tools they’ve been given.
- In Claude on the web or the desktop app, open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector. Name it Ototo and paste https://mcp.ototo.ai as the URL, then choose Add.
- Choose Connect next to Ototo. A window opens: sign in with your Ototo account.
- Start a new chat, open the tools menu, and check that Ototo is turned on.
- Ask a question, for example: Ask Ototo to show me my A/R aging.
Permissions guide
Admins set a level for each user on each connected company, on the Team & permissions page of the dashboard. New users start read-only.
- No access. Can't see the company at all.
- Read only. Look up anything and run reports, except employee information.
- Bookkeeper. Read only, plus create and update sales, bills, customers, products and their custom fields. No deletes.
- Full access. Everything, including employee information, custom field setup, delete and void.
- Custom. Turn individual tool groups and operations on or off for one user on one company.
Company policies
On Connections, an admin can turn writes or deletes off for a whole company. Nobody can exceed a company’s policy, admins included, and levels it rules out are greyed out on the Team page.
Manage Ototo from your assistant
Admins can ask their assistant to list users, invite someone, change a role or set access. Your assistant shows a preview of each change and a confirmation code; nothing changes until you confirm.
Activity record
Usage reports in the dashboard show who used Ototo, on which company, which tool, whether it read, wrote or deleted, and the result. They never include the numbers, the questions or the answers.
Troubleshooting
- I don’t see Ototo’s tools. Check that the Ototo connector is turned on for the chat, then start a new chat.
- “You don’t have permission.” Your level on that company doesn’t include the action. Ask an admin to change it, or check the company’s policy.
- A company is missing. You may not have access to it yet, or it may need reconnecting on the Connections page.
